Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC - On Sunday the 15th of March jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea performed together at the beautiful Chan Centre at UBC.   Herbie Hancock performed on the incredible Fazioli F278 Concert Grand - a piano that has truly changed the piano world since its creation in 1980.

After the sold-out performance, some local VIPs were pre-arranged to go to another room to meet the two great performers.  The VIPs included Thomas & Bonita Chan of the Chan Family, Showcase Pianos owners Manuel & Judy Bernaschek, local jazz performers Max & NaRai Zipursky, UBC dean Dr. Gage Averill, and director of music department Dr. Richard Kurth and his wife Odetta.  

After the brief visit in the private room, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea made their way to the stage again to sign the Fazioli F278 Concert Grand.   The piano is currently on display and available for sale at Showcase Pianos in Vancouver.

 

 

2 out of 3 finalists on Fazioli at Chopin Competition USA

MIAMI, FL - On Sunday the 1st of March, 2015 it was announced that Eric Lu and Rachel Kudo (below) placed first and second at the 2015 Chopin Competition USA.   Both played a Fazioli F278 concert grand during the competition, which had its final round this pas weekend.

The first prize winner takes home $75,000 in cash and it is the largest cash award of any piano competition in the US and comes with automatic acceptance to the XVII International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.   The second place winner gets $35,000 in cash and is also automatically accepted to the Chopin Competition in Poland in October.  

Fazioli Joins the Unveiling the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid Supercar

LANGLEY, BC - On Thursday the 5th of February, long-time Porsche Club members and Fazioli owners were invited to see the amazing new hybrid that costs nearly a million dollars.   Only 3 made it to the Vancouver area.

A special Fazioli in California Walnut was brought in for the event, and the Max Zipursky Trio entertained the visitors.

Open Road Auto Group's Porsche Centre in Langley made an excellent venue for this event, and visitors were well looked after with valet parking and even caviar!

24 Hours with Mr. Fazioli

VANCOUVER, BC - Fazioli Pianoforti founder Mr. Paolo Fazioli visits Vancouver for 24 hours on Tuesday the 27th of January, 2015 - coming here after his yearly visit to the NAMM Show in Los Angeles. 

Follow Showcase Pianos owner Manuel Bernaschek as he picks up Mr. Fazioli in a special Rolls-Royce Ghost that was arranged for Mr. Fazioli's visit as he is taken to customer homes, media interviews, and a reception in his honour.

Fazioli Pianoforti Founder Paolo Fazioli Visits Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC - After making his annual appearance at the world famous NAMM Show in California, Paolo Fazioli visited Vancouver Canada.   Fazioli is the founder of the piano factory in Italy that bears his name.

The 24 hours that Mr. Fazioli spent in Vancouver were filled completely with magazine interviews, video interviews, customer visits, cocktail receptions, and a VIP dinner.

A special 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost was arranged to be able to take Mr. Fazioli around the city during his short visit.

In the early evening, many of Vancouver's Fazioli buyers were invited to the Shangri-La's XiShi Lobby Lounge, where a special Fazioli F183 was played by the Max Zipursky Trio that entertained the appreciative crowds.   A highlight of the reception was the duet performance by young pianists Isabelle XinYi Wang and Ray Zhang.

The busy day's final event was a dinner at the Shangri-La's beautiful Market Restaurant, where Fazioli VIP guests received a surprise visit by violinists Rosemary and vocalist Mary Zilba who performed two beautiful songs for the group.
