Showcase Academy now offers variety of lessons


RICHMOND, BC - Showcase Academy, located in Richmond's beautiful Aberdeen Centre, has expanded from having only piano lessons to now offering lessons for violin, voice, harp, flute, and cello.

Violin teacher Dominic Woo is the Concert Master of the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and has his Ph.D in Violin Performance as well as his masters in Music Education.

Flute teacher Paul Hung is a student of Lorna McGhee, the principal flutist of Pittsburgh Symphony and is expecting to graduate with a Bachelor's of Music degree from UBC in November of  2012.

Voice teacher Sarah Tatto holds a Bachelor of Music Degree (Operatic Performance) from the Vancouver Academy of Music, having studied with the late Phyllis Mailing.

Harp teacher Miya Otake is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, Miya Otake is an active harpist contributing her talent in both performing and teaching.  She is the founder of the award winning Westcoast Harp Ensemble and currently, she is the principal harp instructor at both Langley Community Music School and the Vancouver Academy of Music.  Miya has been awarded the Teachers Certificate of Recognition from the Royal Conservatory of Music for her student's highest achievements.
